Variable-Frequency Drive
The VARIOspeed variable-frequency drive (VFD) is designed specifically for pressure control applications. As the flow and head conditions change in the pumping system, it is able to automatically control the pump speed and maintain a constant discharge pressure. The desired set pressure is configured with the user-friendly VFD keypad. The pressure transducer measures the pump discharge pressure.

The new FPI Mag is the successor to McCrometer’s popular Multi-Mag insertion flowmeter, which is a multi-electrode hot tap full-profile insertion flowmeter delivering a continuous total flow profile similar to a full-bore magmeter. Gorman-Rupp announced the expansion of its Prime Aire products to include the new PAV3B60C-3TNV70 pump. The heart of this 3-in. model uses a patent-pending vortex impeller with the company’s Staggerwing (staggered-winglet) design, which allows this model to pass a 3-in. solid through all critical areas of the pump. Most engine-driven pumps of this size cannot pass a 3-in. spherical solid.
